ACHA hockey teams can have many different positions on their ice. The job description will vary depending on the role. Some positions will require coaching. Others will require program administration. Some positions involve the administration and development of programs for young hockey players. These positions will allow you to work with young athletes and oversee the operation of a hockey club.

Oswego State Men's ACHA D1 Ice Hockey Team (NECHL Conference)

Oswego's State Men's Hockey Team is a member of the ACHA Division I. They play in the NECHL Conference. Each week's schedule includes three practices, one to two video sessions and one or two games on weekends. As a member of the coaching staff, you will be expected to attend all team meetings, practices, and games.

The ACHA Division 1 teams include small community colleges and big-time power-five state schools. Liberty, Adrian, Oakland University are all national champions. Three of these six schools actually have multiple championships.

It is important to take time for your studies if you are interested in college hockey. ACHA D1 teams rarely play more that thirty games per year. NCAA Division III programs, on the other hand, play between twenty to thirty games per season.

Cortland's women's ice hockey team has been around for more than a decade. Since 1985, the team is student-run. This allows qualified hockey players to have the chance to play at a high level. The Blue Hens won in 2004-05 the NYCHL championship, and were the title team.

The assistant coach of the SUNYCortland Women’s ice hockey team works closely alongside the head coach. They assist in all aspects of the program's administration and operations. The assistant coach is also responsible for recruiting promising student-athletes. The assistant coach is expected to attend all team functions and participate in all practices and games.

Lehigh University Men's Ice Hockey Team (NCSA) is a member. They are a Division 1 college hockey team. NCSA is the premier organization for student athletes. The NCSA offers many resources for student athletes. These resources will help you build your recruiting profile, and connect with college coaches.

ACHA men’s division 2 is home to nearly 200 teams spread across ten conferences as well as a few independents. The conference teams play each others twice a season. In addition, they play non-conference against other ACHA member school. The league's championship Tournament takes place in February.
